Mission

As a diverse community of people being transformed by the gospel, Christ Church Greensboro exists to help build a thriving city for all people by developing faithful followers of Jesus Christ who show and share God’s grace in Greensboro, and to the ends of the earth.

Our Beliefs

World-Day-of-Prayer.jpg
We believe the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.

Our History

In the summer of 2009, the leadership of Friendly Hills Church, PCA began to discuss a specific vision for providing a welcoming environment in the heart of Greensboro for people at all stages of interest in Jesus. As the vision for such a church in downtown grew, Jeff Miller along with five elders and a core group from Friendly Hills began to pray for the beginning of a new church. After a long process of planning and securing a location, renovations for the first worship space at 421 W. Smith St. began in January 2011.

Christ Church Greensboro then held its first worship service on June 26 that same year. By 2014 the church had outgrown the Smith St. location, and in 2015 purchased a new facility at 414 N. Church St. After another round of renovations, and the generous hospitality of neighboring churches, the church opened its new space in the Fall of 2015. Though the location has changed, the vision has remained the same. Christ Church Greensboro looks forward to continually being a church that provides a welcoming environment where people of all stages and backgrounds can encounter Jesus.
