God made you and takes care of you!

I'd like to ask you a question...

Why are you to glorify God?

Because He made you and takes care of you!

God made you like no other person. Even if you have an identical twin, you are each made to do something unique. God has a plan for you to do something that no one else can do!

There are so many stories of people who did very special and important things that brought God glory! King David was one of those people.

He was first called to be a shepherd and take care of his father's flock.

Then he was obedient to battle the giant Goliath and God gave him faith instead of fear!

Then he was crowned king over God's people and he ruled for 40 years!

David wasn't perfect, but he was faithful to listen to God. When he disobeyed God, David confessed his sin and God forgave him. God used David to bless us with beautiful psalms and to bless His people with a faithful leader who taught them to follow the Lord.

Maybe when you grow up you will be called to be a nurse and take care of sick people. Maybe you will be called to be a fireman who saves people from a burning building. Who knows? God does!

You can start by following God now! When you do, you can be sure He will take care of you and help you to know each day what He wants you to do. For now that includes doing a good job on your school project, being kind to your little brother or sister, and being nice to your neighbors!

It means loving Him with all your heart, soul, mind and strength!
