Jesus teaches us to pray

Have you ever made a mosaic? A mosaic is art that is made from putting small pieces of paper or glass or tile together to make a design or some sort of picture.

This week we are learning The Lord's Prayer. It's a prayer found in two of the gospel books in the Bible (see Matthew 6:9–13 and Luke 11:2–4). All around the world churches use this prayer during Sunday services. Some people might pray this prayer when they are praying on their own at home. It's a useful prayer that is actually made up of several "petitions". These petitions are like the little bits that go to make a beautiful work of art in a mosaic. But instead they are little phrases that all put together make a beautiful prayer to God!

I hope you will want to learn this prayer along with me! I think you will find it to be a wonderful prayer to pray to God. If Jesus taught us to pray it, then it must be a really good prayer to pray!
