Jesus, the Son of God

This past Sunday in worship we sang a new song, "Lord and Friend" by CeCe Winans. She writes these words to start the song,

I'm amazed that You can be

So many things for me

Everything at the same time

The perfect one of a kind

How do You sit so high

And stay close by my side?

How do You never change

But new every morning?

She goes on to sing about who Jesus is, emphasizing he's our Lord and Friend. He's our Lord because when we trust in him, he rules over our hearts. But he's also close and caring like a friend is.
