There's a book I read when I was younger. It was entitled "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" written by Dr. Seuss. It was full of fun rhymes like this...
Oh, the places you'll go!
There is fun to be done!
There are points to be scored.
There are games to be won.
The idea of the book is that you will go many places in life and experience many things. Sometimes those things will be fun and exciting. But sometimes, as you continue reading, sometimes you go to places that aren't fun or exciting.
I'm sorry to say so
but, sadly, it's true
that Bang-ups
and Hang-ups
can happen to you.
Dr. Seuss wrote that life sometimes takes us to places that we don't expect to go. He encourages you to just keep going, no matter the ups and downs of life. In the Bible, we read that God promises to be with you in all those ups and downs of life. As a believer, I know that wherever I go in life, God goes with me everywhere! I can't always see Him, but by faith I trust He is there and He will help me.
This week we're learning some BIG words about God in addition to some BIG ideas about God.
OMNIPRESENT OMNISCIENT
OMNIPOTENT
We're going to talk about how God knows all things and can do all things! So no matter where life takes you (Oh the places you'll go!), God is there and God is powerful, and God desires to do all His holy will to accomplish things for your good and His glory! Amen!
With love, Mrs. Bess
