What God Can Do

We've been learning some BIG things about God in our weekly study. Last week we used some BIG words to describe our BIG God. He's all-knowing, always present, all-powerful God.
This week I want us to consider what God can do? When I think of what God can do, creation is what first comes to my mind. That's the first thing we learn about when we read the Bible: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." That's something BIG, isn't it! The planet Jupiter, Mount Everest, whales, Sequoia trees, all BIG things that God created!
God desired to create a beautiful world for His most important creation (man) to live in. And it is beautiful and amazing! God can do anything, but what God does is His holy will. He will not do anything that does not line up with Who He is- loving, right, kind, good.
And the most important thing that God did for His most important creation is to give us life in His Son Jesus. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." Let's praise Him and thank Him for that today! He is a great and powerful God!
