A thorny path

Holy Week is approaching. Christians take time during the week leading up to Easter Sunday to contemplate what it meant that Jesus went to the cross to pay the penalty for sin.
As we make our way through the Apostles Creed we come to the phrase, "He was crucified, dead, and buried..." There's so much to consider in that short phrase. The reality of Jesus suffering for our sake is sometimes hard to think about. But the reality of His suffering brings about the reality of our reason to hope in Him.
Easter is still a few weeks away, but I would encourage families to be in conversation about the reason why Jesus would die on the cross. He did so in obedience to His Father and to redeem us from our sin, and to bring us life everlasting!
With great love for Jesus!
