All wrong-doing is sin (1 John 5:17)
The title tells the truth. As we move through the opening chapters of the book of Genesis we are mesmerized by all the amazing things God did to bring order to creation. We experience the world coming to life with light and sound and beautiful things! Land and sea and sky and all the amazing plants and animals that God made to inhabit His creation.
Then we see God bring people into being. Adam was made from the dust and then God makes Eve. And they had plenty to do as part of God's creation- taking care of the plants and animals, having babies and raising their family, bringing God glory in their day to day lives.
But then things go wrong and Eve and Adam disobey God's instructions and think they can manage things better for themselves. Immediately after eating from the tree that God had set-apart in the Garden, their eyes were opened and they feel shame and separation from God.
God in his great love didn't abandon them. He goes back to them and covers them. In the same way, God made a way for our sin to be covered through the blood of His Son. Everyday we should remember and be thankful to God for what He has done for us! Love, Mrs. Bess
