Do you see what I see?

When I was in elementary school, our music teacher would plan a special musical performance during December. Her plan involved all the kids in the school learning songs that would be showcased in an evening concert. It was a special part of the holidays for all of us.
I remember learning the song "Do You Hear What I Hear?" in the Fifth Grade. I loved how the chorus echoed as part of the students would sing that refrain and then the other students would repeat it back.
That song sparked my imagination! I could just see the star that was shining so brightly in the night sky over the fields outside Bethlehem. And I thought about how incredible it must have been to see the heavenly hosts sing out to the shepherds and sheep the wonderful news that Jesus had been born! 🐑
The Shepherds were the FIRST to receive the birth announcement. And even though they were frightened by the appearance of the angel, they didn't hesitate to go and worship! And then they went about telling everyone they knew what they had seen! 😇
So as we get closer to December 25 when we mark the day that Jesus was born, consider sharing that good news with a friend or a neighbor. Let them know the joyous report that Jesus has been born, the Savior of the world! He is truly the one who will bring us goodness and light!🌟
With love- Mrs. Bess
