Father, Son and Holy Spirit

There is only one true God! That was the Big Thing about God we learned about in our class last week. When you read God's word, the Bible, every page is filled with truth about who this God is.
In Genesis, this one true God reveals Himself to a man named Abraham. Then in Exodus, this one true God tells a man named Moses that His name is Yahweh. Yahweh-- the God who is and has always existed and will always exist. Every book in the Bible tells us something special about God, each from a different time in history, written by a different person.
In the beginning, Yahweh is the Creator. With Him in creation was the Word. And the Word would eventually become flesh and make His dwelling among us. And His Spirit would come into the hearts of people through the death on the cross of Jesus. (see John 1) At the end, Yahweh is reigning in Heaven and all creation is to worship Him. (see Revelation 22)
As a child, our church family would sing hymns without instruments playing. There's something special about voices being the only "instrument". Sometimes we sang songs that had repeated lines that would be sung in a round. It's like bells pealing as different voices sing different lines but they all blend together in a beautiful way.
One song we sang started out with this line...
I love the Father 🎵
The next line was
I love His only Son 🎵
That was followed by
I love the Spirit 🎵
I love the three in one 🎵
It would wrap up with these lines
He Created me (that's the Father)
Redeemed (that's the Son)
and Sanctified me (that's the Spirit)
Praise Him, Praise Him, Praise Him, Praise Him!🎶
All the voices would sing starting at different times with the first line. Then the last part would be sung together after we finished the round. It was such a lovely tune and I loved hearing all the voices at the end sing in unison.
God, as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, is like that. They are each working to do their part in our salvation, but they are all working in unison as the one true God.
