WELCOME!

Hey everyone!  Glad you have found the Good News Corner for Kids!  This blog is full of fun stuff to help you learn more about walking day by day with Jesus!

Say what I say, do what I do...

I have a sister. She's actually my twin sister. And when we were growing up we did everything the same. Where she went, I went. Whatever I was doing, she did. We shared a room and shared our friends. Everything we did was like we were copying the other! Sometimes it felt like our sister was being a copycat!

You might think a copycat is annoying because everything that you do is being repeated by someone else. But the copycat actually reinforces what is being said or done. It makes that repeated thing stand out even more!

Did you know there's a psalm in the Bible that might be called a "copycat" psalm? Psalm 136 is that psalm-- it repeats "Give thanks to the Lord" and "for His steadfast love endures forever" again and again, verse after verse. By the time you finish reading all 26 verses you've been reminded 26 times that God's steadfast love endures forever"!

And do you know what? It's good to be reminded of that! Because if we remember God's steadfast love endures, then we know that He will take care of us every minute of everyday! He's got us! And that's a lot to be thankful for! So don't be too bothered by the copycat repeating what has already been said!

About

My name is Mrs. Bess!

I'm a follower of Jesus and love to teach kids (and sometimes the big people in their lives) what it means to love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.  I do that through telling the stories of the wondrous things God has done.
