Wise and Foolish Ways

As we look at the psalms in God's Word we are taught many things about who God is and what God has done for us. God is all-wise. He is perfect in all He does. His power is beyond any power that we might have. God is able to do ALL things and we believe that He does ALL for our good and HIS glory!
But as people living out our day to day lives we know that we are not perfectly wise and we have limited abilities to do things. And because of our limitations, we must learn to rely on God to help us. Our biggest limitation is our sin that causes us many troubles. If only we could avoid sin and the troubles that come from that. How does a person do that?
Well the wise man trusts in God, whereas the foolish man trust in himself. They wise man goes the way of God; the one who trusts in himself will go his own way. The wise man will delight in God, who is his firm foundation, unlike the one who does not. That man is like someone who is blown around by the storms of life.
You've probably heard this song before:
This song is full of good teaching even if it is a song that little kids learn to sing at Vacation Bible School. If you remember what this song teaches, and build your house on the rock, then you will be wise and you will be blessed!
Let's come learn more about this week as we study Psalm 1!
With Love- Mrs. Bess
