Wonderful You!

Did you know how wonderful you are? Maybe you hear from your grandma or grandpa that you are a delight, or a special blessing to them. Grandparents like to dote on their grandkids and like to shower affection on them- by spending time with them or by giving them special gifts or special treats.

As much as a grandparent thinks their grandchildren are special, God thinks we're special EVEN MORE! That's because each person on this earth was uniquely made. There's only one YOU! Psalm 139:13-14 says, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful."

We may not always think that we are wonderfully made, but God's word assures us that we are. Whether we have curly hair or straight hair. Or whether we're made with short feet or long feet, blue eyes or brown eyes, everything about us is made exactly the way God made us.

And knowing that helps us to be able to trust that God has a special reason for making us the way He made us! He has a special plan for you in this world. And if you take time to talk to God about that, He will help you know what it is that He has for you!

I hope you will take time each day to talk to Him about that! You could even use this prayer:

Dear God- Thank you for making me to be me! Thank you for the special gifts and talents you've given me. I pray you would help me to use these special things to help the people around me. I want to honor You in everything I do and say! In Your Name, AMEN!
